DMK Slams DVAC Raids on K.N. Nehru, Alleges Political Vendetta!

DMK president M.K. Stalin has strongly condemned the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) raids conducted at the residence of former Minister K.N. Nehru, labeling them as politically motivated.

The raids took place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Nehru's home in Tiruchi.

In a social media message, Stalin highlighted that the raids occurred while a case related to Nehru was pending before the High Court and during an ongoing Assembly session. He accused the ruling party of orchestrating these raids to divert public attention, especially at a time he claims "Indian democracy is heading towards a dark period."

Stalin further alleged that the people of Tamil Nadu are aware of the "horse trading" tactics employed by the ruling party, which supposedly involves enticing MLAs from other parties to resign and join their ranks, even on Assembly premises.

An FIR concerning this alleged "horse trading" is reportedly still pending.

This isn't the first time K.N. Nehru has faced such scrutiny; reports indicate it's the third time his premises have been searched under the current government, often linked to allegations of tender manipulation and corruption.

DMK cadre and office bearers, including former Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, gathered in front of Nehru's residence in Tiruchi, showing solidarity.

Stalin asserted that neither the DMK nor Mr.

Nehru would be intimidated by these actions and vowed to challenge them legally.
