Kremlin Hails US Security Strategy as Aligned with Russia's Vision

Moscow welcomed the updated national security strategy, with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov saying the document largely aligns with Russia's vision and favors dialogue over confrontation.
He added that the strategy's language against confrontation and its push for constructive ties could pave the way for closer cooperation with Washington on the Ukrainian settlement.
The comments come as Russia has carried out missile, drone, and shelling attacks in Ukraine over the weekend, killing at least four people, including a drone strike in Chernihiv and shelling in Kharkiv, while a separate strike on infrastructure in Kremenchuk caused power and water outages.
In Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had a substantive phone call with American officials involved in talks with a Ukrainian delegation in Florida, receiving an update on the negotiations.
Analysts say the Kremlin's muted praise signals a potential opening for dialogue, but they caution that the conflict on the ground remains forceful and unpredictable.
