CBI Takes Charge in Twisha Sharma Case: Mother-in-Law’s Bail Revoked

The investigation into the tragic death of former model and actor Twisha Sharma has taken a significant turn. In a major development, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has revoked the anticipatory bail previously granted to her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh. This decision comes after the court observed that the lower trial court had overlooked critical evidence, including postmortem reports and witness statements, when it initially granted her bail.

Twisha was found dead at her marital home on May 12, an incident that shocked many. Since then, her family has been vocal about their suspicions, alleging that she was subjected to constant harassment and cruelty over dowry demands. These allegations have put her in-laws directly under the scanner of law enforcement agencies.

The case has now moved into the hands of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is known for handling high-profile and complex cases. Recently, a Bhopal court remanded Twisha’s husband, Samarth Singh, to CBI custody for further questioning.
