The explosive innings included six fours and ten sixes, at a strike rate of 239.53, and it capped a strong run of form that has him heating up for the World Cup.
With this performance, Kishan crossed 1,000 runs in T20 Internationals and 2,000 international runs for India, adding two major milestones to his growing ledger. He has now played 36 T20Is for 1,011 runs at an average of 28.88 and a strike rate of 137.92, including one century and seven fifties.
In the ongoing series, he finished as India's second-highest run-getter with 215 runs in four innings at an average of 53.75 and a strike rate over 231, including one century and one fifty. His 103 is among the fastest by an Indian in T20Is, underscoring his aggressive style.
This form makes it hard to not consider him as a top opening option with Rohit Sharma when India face the USA in their first T20 World Cup match on February 7, signaling a bright outlook for India’s campaign.
