A class 11 student in Gurugram was shot at a Sector 48 flat by a fellow classmate wielding his father’s licensed pistol; two minors arrested and an FIR registered.
Two minor students were arrested after a 17-year-old classmate was shot by a friend using his father’s licensed pistol in a flat at Central Park Resorts in Sector 48, Gurugram. Police said the incident happened late Friday night, when three classmates were present in the rented flat. The bullet struck the injured student in the neck, and he is reported to be in critical condition and receiving treatment at a private hospital. An FIR was registered at the Sadar police station, and the two minor suspects were taken into custody as part of the investigation.
Authorities recovered the weapon and ammunition from the scene: one pistol, two magazines, around 70 cartridges and a bullet shell. Investigators say the three boys are classmates in Class 11 at the same school. The accused and the victim reportedly had a two-month-old grudge, which police say may have fueled the incident during the gathering at the flat.
According to the complainant, the victim’s mother said her son was invited by his school friend to meet on Friday. He initially refused, but later agreed after the friend insisted and arranged to pick him up. The mother described how the group went to the rented flat near Sector 48, where the shooting occurred. The weapon used belonged to the accused’s father, who is named as a property dealer in police statements. The father reportedly kept the pistol at home, where it was accessible to the boy. Police say the motive was a lingering dispute, and investigators are continuing to piece together the sequence of events and assess the roles of the other two minors involved.
