Aimee Lou Wood is gearing up to host SNL UK on May 2, adding a fresh chapter to the British spinoff as she navigates a recent controversy surrounding a teeth gag from the U.S. version. The actress previously criticized a U.S. sketch in which Sarah Sherman portrayed her White Lotus character Chelsea and wore a set of fake teeth, calling the joke mean and unfunny.
In a new promo teaser for SNL UK, Wood jokes that she might be paranoid after the teeth incident. “Oh my God, I’m so excited. I cannot wait to get started, you know, especially after the whole thing in America with the teeth,” she says.
