In a significant crackdown on organized crime, two alleged shooters linked to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang were killed in a fierce encounter with law enforcement agencies in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, on Sunday. The deceased, identified as Parvesh and Himanshu, were key suspects in the brutal murder of 25-year-old gym owner Kapil Redhu in Hansi on June 10.
Both individuals carried a reward of ₹1 lakh each and were part of the wider Lawrence Bishnoi-Hariram alias Harry Boxer-Anil Pandit crime network. The joint operation involved teams from the Delhi Police Special Cell and the Haryana Special Task Force (STF), acting on precise intelligence.
Police received a tip-off that Parvesh and Himanshu, armed with weapons, were planning another murder. Upon attempting to intercept the duo, they reportedly opened fire on the law enforcement teams. In a retaliatory action, police returned fire. During the intense exchange, a Delhi Police constable sustained a bullet injury to his leg, while four other personnel's lives were saved by their bulletproof jackets, which absorbed bullet impacts.
The two accused were injured during the encounter and were subsequently rushed to a hospital, where they were declared brought dead by doctors. The injured constable was transferred to a super-speciality hospital for further treatment. The murder of Kapil Redhu had prompted a case registered at the Hansi City police station, and investigations quickly pointed to Parvesh and Himanshu as the primary shooters involved. They were wanted in cases of murder, attempted murder, and under the Arms Act, highlighting their dangerous criminal history.
