Jaipur Hosts Grand Parade Celebrating 78th Army Day
Jaipur's Mahal Road hosted the 78th Army Day parade outside Delhi for the fourth time, showcasing the Indian Army's precision, discipline, and advanced capabilities in a public-city setting.
Today, Jaipur hosted a large parade to commemorate the 78th Army Day. The parade, which was held on Jagatpura's Mahal Road, demonstrated the Indian Army's bravery, discipline, and cutting-edge military prowess. Contingents that were well-prepared marched past the saluting dais, showcasing their professionalism and bravery.
Press Information Bureau (PIB) posted a tweet which says,
Indian Army celebrates 78th Army Day at Jaipur This marks the fourth occasion that the Army Day Parade was held outside Delhi, following the decision to bring this event to other parts of the country. It was for the first time that the Parade was conducted outside army cantonment, at the heart of the city at Mahal Road, Jaipur, starting from Akshay Patra Circle and culminating at Bombay Hospital. South Western Command has hosted a parade for the first time, after being conducted in Bangalore, Lucknow & Pune since 2023...
The event showcased the Army's state-of-the-art combat readiness, including anti-air and anti-tank weapon systems, military vehicles, drones, sophisticated tanks, and domestic missile systems. Participating soldiers from different regiments showcased their unique uniforms, customs, and fighting prowess.
In keeping with the longstanding friendship and defense cooperation between the two countries, the Nepal Army Band also participated. Among the main attractions were robotic dogs, helicopter-based weapon platforms, and the BrahMos missile system.
The event was made more colorful by cultural performances, such as the Kalbelia and Gair dances from Rajasthan. The parade was attended by Governor Haribhau Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, state cabinet members, high-ranking Army officials, and numerous citizens. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will take part in a Shaurya Sandhya this evening at the SMS Stadium as part of the Army Day festivities. To ensure smooth movement, special traffic arrangements have been made in the city between 4 and 8 p.m.
