CNG Price Jump! Delhi Drivers Face Higher Costs Amid Global Tensions ⛽

Delhi motorists are bracing for higher fuel costs as Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) announced a significant hike in the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). The price has gone up by Rs 3.89 per kilogram, pushing the retail price in the capital to nearly Rs 87/kg. This increase is set to impact thousands of daily commuters and commercial vehicle operators across the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR).

IGL attributed the revision in prices primarily to the ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia and the potential for a blockade of the crucial Strait of Hormuz. These global events are driving up the cost of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), a key component in CNG production, leading to increased input costs for suppliers like IGL.

The company stated that despite this hike, CNG remains one of the most economical fuel options available to consumers in Delhi.
