Husband Charged in Death of Minn. Governor Candidate's Daughter
Dylan Tobler, husband of Hallie Tobler, is charged with second-degree murder in her stabbing death in St. Cloud, as the governor candidate ends his campaign.
In St. Cloud, Hallie Marie Tobler, 22, was found fatally stabbed in her apartment over the weekend, authorities said. She is the daughter of Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Jeff Johnson. Her husband, Dylan Tobler, 23, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with her death.
Investigators say Tobler allegedly told officers 'It's a mess' when asked what led to the killing.
Johnson ended his campaign in the wake of the tragedy, announcing that he would suspend his bid following his daughter's death. Authorities have not released a motive, and the investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to piece together the events leading to Hallie Tobler's death.
