Delhi is buzzing with unprecedented security preparations as the city gears up to host the prestigious BRICS Summit. A colossal deployment of 15,000 Delhi Police personnel is underway to ensure multi-layered security for the international event, scheduled for September 12 and 13 at Bharat Mandapam. These dedicated officers will be responsible for maintaining law and order, ensuring top-notch security, and managing traffic flow across the capital.

Their duties will extend to critical locations, including the airport, various hotels, and all scheduled or unscheduled sites that foreign dignitaries may visit during their stay. Officials confirmed that a robust, multi-layered security system has been meticulously put in place.

This includes heightened access control, continuous vigilance, and fortified security measures specifically at Bharat Mandapam, the summit's primary venue.

To ensure comprehensive coverage and smooth operations, coordination meetings have also been conducted with police forces from neighboring states, especially concerning the movement of high-profile delegations. Intelligence gathering and sharing are also paramount, with all available inputs being rigorously analyzed to bolster security preparedness.
