Jharkhand Students Demand CBI Probe Over Exam Scams! 🚨 #JPSCScam
Thousands of students in Jharkhand are protesting alleged JPSC & JSSC exam irregularities, demanding a CBI probe & CM Soren's resignation. Their fight for fair opportunities continues! #StudentProtest
Thousands of students across Jharkhand are raising their voices in a powerful protest against alleged widespread irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examinations. Their central demand is a comprehensive, independent probe by central agencies like the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) into all recruitment exams conducted by these bodies over the past seven years.
The protests, which include an indefinite sit-in at a stadium in Ranchi since July 29 and a recent torchlight vigil in the state capital, highlight deep-seated frustration among aspirants. Students are specifically calling for the cancellation of the 14th JPSC Combined Preliminary Test held on April 19, citing concerns over paper leaks and leaked OMR sheets. While Chief Minister Hemant Soren has ordered a CID probe, protesters have expressed a complete loss of faith in this investigation, fearing a potential cover-up.
Adding to their list of demands, students are also advocating for the introduction of a "not attempted" option on OMR sheets, a measure they believe will enhance transparency and fairness. Many protesters, hailing from farming families, emphasize that their careers are at stake and they simply seek fair opportunities based purely on merit. A tribal student from Ranchi expressed the sentiment, "If an equal and fair chance is not given, how can I get a job? I urge CM Soren to listen to our demands."
Prominent social activist and founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), Abhijeet Dipke, has publicly thrown his support behind the students, stating that CJP stands with all students and that he has spoken with those protesting in Jharkhand. The students are also calling for Chief Minister Hemant Soren's resignation on moral grounds, underscoring the severity of their concerns regarding corruption in the state's examination system. They are determined to continue their agitation until their demands for justice and transparency are met.
