Olivia Rodrigo has once again proven her chart-topping prowess, with her latest album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” debuting at Number One on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart. This marks her third consecutive Number One LP and her biggest sales week ever, solidifying her status as a pop powerhouse. The album’s monumental success also boasts the largest sales week of 2026 for any solo artist, outperforming even Drake's “Iceman.”
According to Billboard, Rodrigo's new record sold an impressive 485,000 units in the United States in the week ending June 18. This figure significantly surpassed Drake's “Iceman,” which sold 463,000 units in May and had held the Number One spot for four consecutive weeks before Rodrigo's release. This achievement adds to Rodrigo's already stellar discography, following the success of her debut album “Sour” in 2021 and “Guts” in 2023, both of which also reached the coveted top spot.
“You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” features 13 tracks, including a standout duet with The Cure’s legendary frontman, Robert Smith. The album has already spawned two Number One singles on the Billboard Hot 100: the flagship track “Drop Dead,” and its powerful follow-up, “The Cure.” Reflecting on her creative process, Rodrigo shared upon the album's announcement, “No matter how hard I try to write love songs they always come out laced with a little melancholy. I am so proud of this record, and I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
Fans will soon have the chance to experience the new music live, as Rodrigo is set to embark on her extensive “Unraveled Tour” this September. The tour promises 86 stops across multiple cities and continents, including major arenas in New York, Los Angeles, and London. The North American leg of the tour is scheduled to kick off on September 25 at the PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut, and will continue through the fall and into early 2027.
