In Bengaluru, Kadugodi police arrested 25-year-old Sayed Arbaz Khan on January 18 in connection with a road rage incident after a dagger-wielding video went viral on social media. The probe began when the clip circulating on January 17 showed him brandishing a dagger during a dispute with another driver. He was traced to a fish seller’s shop at Kanakanagara in RT Nagar, Bengaluru, and the weapon used has been seized. The case has been registered at Kadugodi Police Station, and officials say strict action will be taken against those who threaten public safety and misuse social media to spread fear.
Investigations have tied the footage to multiple moments of aggression on Bengaluru roads. A separate dashcam clip reportedly captured the same man at a Whitefield traffic signal, threatening a car occupant, while another video near Nexus Shantiniketan Mall showed verbal abuse and knife-brandishing behavior. Police emphasise that this is not an isolated incident and urge the public to refrain from sharing or amplifying threats online.
With the weapon seized and the suspect in custody, authorities say the case signals a firm stance against road rage and the online spread of fear. The arrest aims to deter similar acts and reassure commuters that enforcement will continue, especially when videos circulate widely and stoke public anxiety.
