Hyderabad marks Hanuman Jayanti with huge crowds and tight security
Thousands gather in Hyderabad for Hanuman Jayanti as police tighten security and manage traffic around major procession routes.
It was around 7:40 p.m. when traffic began to slow at Paradise junction as a Hanuman Jayanti procession approached, capping a day of large-scale celebrations across Hyderabad that had begun hours earlier under the afternoon sun.
Police presence at the junction had steadily increased through the evening, and by around 7:30 p.m., between 80 to 100 personnel, including senior officers, had been deployed to manage the movement of crowd and vehicles.
City authorities worked to keep celebrations orderly while ensuring smooth movement for vehicles, with security personnel coordinating closely to monitor the proceedings and respond to evolving crowds.
Officials remained vigilant as the night progressed, ready to adjust arrangements to balance festive fervor with public safety and traffic flow.
