Bhupesh Baghel, the State in-charge for the Congress in Punjab, has unequivocally stated that Amarinder Singh Raja Warring will continue to serve as the Punjab Congress president, despite ongoing factionalism within the state unit.
Baghel’s firm stance comes as the party grapples with an intensifying power tussle, especially with the Assembly polls on the horizon in early 2027. In response, Baghel has committed to meeting Channi soon to address his concerns. Meanwhile, Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla has also engaged with Channi, underscoring that senior party leaders are actively working towards resolving these issues through dialogue and consensus.
