Reel to Real: Mumbai hostage drama ends in tragedy

What began as a routine film shoot inside Mumbai's R A Studio in Powai turned into a chilling real-life nightmare when Rohit Arya, who told his crew he would stage a hostage scene, took 17 children and two adults hostage. Rohit Arya’s longtime videographer, who had worked with him for a decade, recounted that Arya had warned of a hostage drama involving children and even asked for five litres of petrol and firecrackers for the shoot. The videographer did not supply those items.
