BT Golf Chennai: Lessons in Calm, Patience and Partnerships
BT Golf's Chennai leg shows how the game teaches staying cool, resilience, and valuable corporate networking that can lead to lasting partnerships.
BT Golf's Chennai leg drew strong appreciation for a well-run tournament and a positive day on the greens. Corporate leaders and executives gathered to witness a tournament that blended sport with networking, with Sunil Kumar Agarwal, RG Shrinivas, Sree Pragassh V S, and Cdr LM Krishnan among those praising the experience.
Agarwal summed up golf’s biggest lesson as: “Stay cool. Play your game. Doesn’t matter what the result is.”
Sree Pragassh V S added that golf teaches resilience through both good and bad days. He added, “You have to keep your chin up in this game, otherwise you’ll lose.”
L Ganesh, Chairman, Rane Holdings Limited, echoed the sentiment, saying golf has taught him patience and perseverance while also highlighting the course as a prime place to network with Chennai’s corporate leaders. “Golf is a temperamental game, there are good days and bad days. just like life,” he noted, underscoring golf’s parallels with business.
Turning on-course bonds into trusted partnerships was a common thread for Mohit Bajaj, MD, Sisco Latex; Samrat Nahata, Proprietor, SSK Enterprise; and Sivasubramanyam T S, AVP - InsurTech, Mphasis. Their first BT Golf experience was defined by camaraderie as much as competition, where friendships forged on the greens sometimes turned into business ties. “We are making some money as well,” Bajaj said with a smile, while Nahata added, “It’s all about enjoying the fresh air and the company of friends.” Sivasubramanyam chipped in, noting, “Golf reminds you it can always get better.”
The Chennai edition reinforces how golf can be a microcosm of corporate life—teaching calm under pressure, patience through uneven rounds, and the power of forging lasting partnerships beyond the fairway.
