Police have launched an investigation following the tragic death of a woman at Houghton Festival this past weekend. The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was discovered unconscious in her tent on Sunday, August 9th, at the festival grounds located at Houghton Hall in north Norfolk.
Despite immediate efforts by the on-site medical team, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are currently treating the death as unexplained, pending the results of a post-mortem examination. However, police have indicated that they do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
Houghton Festival organizers released a statement via their Instagram page, expressing their profound sorrow.
