Google is rolling out a new wave of enhancements to its AI tools, making interactions smoother and expanding access. Users will be able to jump directly from AI Overviews, a quick summary feature, into AI Mode conversations, where the assistant engages in back-and-forth dialogue. At the same time, Gemini 3 becomes the default model for AI Overviews globally, aligning the experience across markets.
For users who want more capability, the AI Plus plan is now available in all markets, including the United States, priced at $7.99 per month. Gemini 3 Pro and other AI tools are included in the plan, giving subscribers access to Google's more capable models.
In Europe, regulators are stepping in under the Digital Markets Act to force Google to provide rivals with access to Gemini AI services and data. The move is designed to promote competition while Google continues to expand its AI ecosystem.
