Apple iPhone 17e lands in India with big trade-in savings
Apple unveils the iPhone 17e in India with instant cashback and a generous trade-in program, plus the new iPad Air M4—learn how to save big.
Apple has kicked off its 2026 launch with two flagship reveals in India: the iPhone 17e and the iPad Air M4. The iPhone 17e (256GB) is priced at Rs 64,900, making it Apple’s most affordable model in the lineup so far. But there are smart ways to get the price down even further. The real game-changer is Apple’s trade-in program, which lets you swap your old device for instant value, cutting the cost of the new iPhone 17e significantly.
If you opt for a no-cost EMI on select bank cards, Apple is also offering an instant cashback of Rs 5,000, bringing the effective price down to Rs 59,900. The combination of cashback and trade-in can add up to meaningful savings for buyers planning to upgrade.
Here’s how the trade-in works: while buying online, select the storage variant you want and choose the Yes option when asked about trade-in. Enter your PIN code and your current phone’s serial number. Apple will then ask a few quick questions about the device’s condition, button functionality, display integrity, and touch responsiveness. Based on your answers, you’ll see your device’s estimated trade-in value instantly. For example, trading in an iPhone 13 could reduce the iPhone 17e’s price to around Rs 42,000, saving roughly Rs 23,000.
The launch also highlighted the iPad Air M4, which Apple positions as a strong AI-ready option with the M4 chip and more memory. In India, its price starts around Rs 64,900, aligning with the premium mid-range segment while offering notable performance gains over prior generations.
Together, these moves show Apple’s push to widen affordability through trade-ins and EMI options, while introducing a capable tablet capable of handling advanced workloads. For buyers in India, the message is clear: upgrading to the iPhone 17e or the iPad Air M4 could be more attainable than the sticker price suggests, provided you leverage the trade-in and financing options.
