India-first utilities include two-wheeler Navatars and a metro-ticket management option in Google Wallet.
For riders planning quick city trips, the AI acts as a co-pilot, offering context-aware directions and proactive suggestions. The safety alerts are targeted at major Indian metros, including Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, helping drivers and riders alike steer clear of risky stretches while staying within speed limits.
The updates are part of Google Maps' broader push to tailor its tool for Indian users, blending navigation with wallet-based ticketing.
