Metropolitan Police say they are hunting two suspects and are treating the incident as an antisemitic hate crime, with investigators reviewing CCTV and other scene evidence.
The attack appears to be targeted at the synagogue in north London, and officers have increased patrols around Jewish sites as the investigation continues.
No injuries were reported and the synagogue sustained only minor damage; residents have called the incident shocking and disturbing.
