Jantar Mantar, a prominent protest site, was plunged into fresh drama on Saturday afternoon when an unidentified woman hurled an ink-like liquid at Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke. The incident occurred while Dipke was addressing a gathering, briefly disrupting the program and causing a stir as supporters rushed towards the stage. Police sources confirmed that the woman has been detained, and an investigation into her identity and motive is currently underway.

This chaotic scene unfolded just hours after Delhi Police conducted an early morning operation at Jantar Mantar, forcibly moving activist Sonam Wangchuk to Safdarjung Hospital. Wangchuk's health had reportedly deteriorated significantly during his 21-day indefinite hunger strike. The police action itself was not without incident, as some protesters attempted to obstruct the removal, leading to a brief commotion.

Wangchuk had commenced his hunger strike on June 28, protesting alleged irregularities in the NEET examination, a cause championed by the CJP. Doctors monitoring his condition had noted a considerable decline in his health, with a reported loss of nearly 9.5 kg, and his blood pressure and blood sugar levels under constant observation.

CJP members have since alleged a police crackdown, claiming that protesters were detained and subjected to police action during Wangchuk's transfer. Abhijeet Dipke himself took to social media to voice these concerns, stating that CJP members were being denied access to the activist and that security had been tightened at both Jantar Mantar and Safdarjung Hospital.
