Jharkhand CM Faces Student Fury Over Exam Irregularities!
Jharkhand's CM Hemant Soren addresses mounting student protests over JPSC/JSSC exam irregularities. Learn about his meeting with the Governor and government's actions.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren recently held a crucial meeting with Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, addressing the escalating student protests gripping the state. These widespread demonstrations stem from alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) recruitment examinations, sparking deep discontent among job aspirants.
During his meeting with the Governor, CM Soren reportedly assured the state government's unwavering commitment to ensuring justice for the students. He emphasized that no injustice would be tolerated against the youth and pledged that necessary action would be taken to resolve the issue. These assurances come amidst an indefinite sit-in protest, spearheaded by prominent student leader Devendra Nath Mahto, which has seen hundreds demonstrating for days.
The Chief Minister reiterated his government's openness to dialogue with the protesting students. For the second consecutive day, he underscored that their demands would be given serious consideration. Soren highlighted that several individuals have already been arrested in connection with the irregularities, and investigative agencies are actively conducting raids across various locations, working diligently to bring about a concrete resolution.
CM Soren also noted that while similar issues occur in other states, Jharkhand is taking proactive steps. "The government's doors are open to everyone. Anyone who has demands can come forward and present their concerns," he stated, inviting further engagement from the student community. Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar was also present during these discussions, indicating the high-level attention the matter is receiving. Adding to the public pressure, Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha has publicly supported the protesting students, questioning, "When will it stop?". Meanwhile, the CID has made further arrests, taking five more individuals into custody, even as students express their willingness to engage in dialogue with the Soren government.
