Two Bengaluru suspects arrested as Mysuru drug bust nets ₹6.35 lakh in narcotics
Mysuru police seize MDMA and ganja worth ₹6.35 lakh, arrest two Bengaluru residents, in an ongoing crackdown on illicit narcotics.
In a continuing crackdown on illegal narcotics, Mysuru police on February 17 seized narcotic substances including 51.83 grams of MDMA worth ₹5.1 lakh and 2.23 kg of ganja worth ₹1.25 lakh. A car valued at around ₹3 lakh used for transporting the drugs was also seized.
The two arrested — Pramod, 27, and Vikas, 23 — are residents of Bengaluru and were allegedly involved in supplying drugs to Mysuru.
A case has been registered at Metagalli police station and the accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
Officials said the operation is part of an ongoing effort to disrupt illegal drug networks moving MDMA and ganja from other districts and states into the city, and they urged the public to share information about drug activity.
The police emphasised that such actions will continue until networks are dismantled.
