Jammu Police, in a proactive move to heighten security ahead of Independence Day, conducted an extensive cordon and search operation (CASO) alongside a long-range patrol on Friday, August 7, 2026. This comprehensive exercise took place across various areas in the Jammu district, reaffirming the commitment of law enforcement to public safety and national security.
The operation, executed under the watchful eye of the police post Chowki Choura, spanned a significant stretch from Gala to Thorni. It encompassed key villages such as Miyari, Juthal, and Amb, with the invaluable assistance and active participation of members from the Village Defence Guard (VDG).
