Karnataka's SSLC results show a historic 94.1% pass rate in 2026, with seven students achieving a perfect 625/625 and inspiring stories across districts.
Karnataka on April 23, 2026 announced the SSLC exam-1 results, with a historic pass percentage of 94.1%. Out of 7,70,209 students who appeared, 7,24,794 cleared the exam. Seven students from different districts shared the top spot, scoring 625 out of 625.
Among the toppers are Preetham, a student from Mother Teresa Memorial School in Shankaranarayana, Kundapura Taluk, the eldest child of Ganapathy Poojary and Nagaratna, who balanced studies with family responsibilities.
Bharath, son of a farm labourer from Davangere district, studied at Vidyalakshmi English Medium School in Channagiri taluk and commuted daily, turning effort into a perfect score.
Dakshina Kannada and Udupi recorded 98.4% pass, the highest in 12 years, aided by a focused preparatory strategy that helped students consolidate their learning and tackle tough subjects.
Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa called the year historic, noting the strengthening of coaching access and community support that underpins these results. The diverse success stories reveal how disciplined planning, family backing, and school-level guidance converged to lift students across rural and semi-urban Karnataka.
Overall, the exam-1 results celebrate both the big achievers and the broader momentum in Karnataka’s education landscape, signaling renewed optimism for students preparing for the next round of assessments.
