Madurai district starts Plus Two public exams with 33,958 of 34,504 language-subject applicants appearing on day one.
On the first day of the Class 12 public examinations in Madurai district, 33,958 students appeared for language-subject papers out of 34,504 who had applied, including Tamil. Three exemptions were granted, and 543 students were absent.
The government public examinations are scheduled from March 2 to March 26. To accommodate all candidates, 109 examination centres were arranged across the district, with one centre at the Central Prison for students from 323 government, government-aided, and private schools. The day’s examinations covered language subjects, including Tamil, Hindi, Sanskrit, French, and Arabic.
The district will hold exams for other subjects in the coming weeks as the schedule runs through March 26, with continued focus on orderly conduct and fair assessment across centres.
