Tejashwi Yadav Attacks Bihar Govt Over NEET Aspirant’s Death

Tejashwi Yadav, the Opposition leader in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, took aim at the Nitish Kumar government on Sunday over the death of a NEET aspirant in Patna. He alleged that law and order has deteriorated in the state and claimed the government is protecting criminals. In a pointed post on social media, Yadav said the double-engine NDA government has become a tool for oppressors and criminals, and he accused the administration of showing insensitivity toward women and minor girls.

Yadav cited a string of horrific incidents to illustrate his charge. He claimed a widow was gang-raped and murdered in Madhepura, and a four-year-old girl was raped and killed in Khagaria. He added that the NEET aspirant’s rape and murder in Patna was part of a pattern of violence against women that the government has not addressed. He also criticized police actions, noting lathi charges against protesters in Patna and Khagaria and questioning why RJD leaders and workers faced cases while seeking arrests of the criminals.

The opposition leader called on the government to address these crimes openly and demanded accountability. He argued that the administration’s silence amounts to criminal complicity, urging the Chief Minister to break his silence and acknowledge the crimes. The case of the NEET aspirant remains under investigation by a SIT, and Yadav urged the authorities to speed up investigations and ensure justice for the victims.

In response, Bihar’s deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary pledged that those involved in any such crimes will not be spared, signaling a tough stance against the alleged offenders. As the SIT continues its probe, residents and political observers are watching closely to see if the administration can restore trust and restore safety in the state.
