FBI Increases Nancy Guthrie Reward to $100K, Reveals Suspect Details
The FBI raises the reward to $100,000 for tips in Nancy Guthrie's disappearance and shares new suspect details as investigators press forward.
The FBI has boosted the reward to $100,000 for information that leads to the whereabouts of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie, who has been missing since Jan. 31 and is believed to have been abducted.
In a new update, the FBI described the possible suspect as a male, roughly 5'9" to 5'10" with an average build, and noted the black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack he wore in photos released earlier.
The agency said more than 13,000 tips have come in since Feb. 1 as investigators press for information to locate Guthrie or identify those involved.
Earlier, the Pima County Sheriff's Department released initial photos of a possibly involved armed man seen near Guthrie's home, wearing a ski mask and tampering with the doorbell camera.
Authorities emphasize that any information leading to Guthrie's location, or the arrest and conviction of those involved, could help bring the case to a close.
