Three Indian-origin men arrested after Brampton tow-truck shootout; video released

Peel Regional Police say three Indian-origin men were arrested in connection with a tow-truck related shooting in Brampton, following an altercation between two rival tow-truck groups on October 7, 2025, around 10:45 pm. The incident unfolded in a parking lot at McVean Drive and Castlemore Road, where gunfire erupted and one person sustained minor injuries. Police later released a video showing the night-time clash between the two groups. The suspects have been identified as Manjot Bhatti (26), Navjot Bhatti (27) and Amanjot Bhatti (22), all connected to one of the groups involved. A second suspect linked to the other group remains at large; he is described as male, South Asian, and was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans at the time of the shooting. After a search of a residence in Caledon, officers located the three men and brought them into custody. The trio have since been released for now, with Manjot Bhatti held pending a bail hearing and subsequently released, while Navjot Bhatti and Amanjot Bhatti were released on an undertaking.

In terms of charges, Manjot Bhatti is accused of several counts including intentionally discharging a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm. Navjot Bhatti and Amanjot Bhatti are charged as occupants of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm present. Police say the investigation continues as they search for the remaining suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact police as the force works to piece together the sequence of events that led to the shooting.
