Amagi Media Labs IPO Debuts Today Amid Mixed Market Signals
Amagi Media Labs launches its IPO today in Bengaluru, with a Rs 1,789 crore offer and a price band of Rs 343-361; market cues point to a potentially flat listing.
Amagi Media Labs, Bengaluru-based provider of cloud-based broadcast and connected TV technology, is set to make its stock market debut on January 21. The company priced its IPO in the Rs 343-361 per share band and fixed a lot size of 41 shares, aiming to raise Rs 1,789 crore, comprising a fresh issue of Rs 816 crore and an offer-for-sale of up to 2.69 crore shares worth Rs 973 crore.
Demand for the issue was robust in the three-day bidding window from January 13-16, with overall subscription at 30.22 times and bids aggregating around Rs 29,750 crore. Qualified institutional buyers subscribed 33.77 times, non-institutional investors 37.36 times, and retail investors 9.71 times. Ahead of listing, Amagi traded in the grey market with a premium of Rs 2-3 per share, suggesting a flat listing; earlier GMP had stood at Rs 18-20 per share around the time of Bharat Coking Coal's listing, underscoring broad market volatility.
Investors will be watching how Amagi translates its cloud-based advertising and content monetization platform for traditional TV and streaming into faster post-listing growth. The company says it provides end-to-end solutions for content creation, distribution, and monetization across TV and streaming, positioning itself in the fast-evolving media tech space. With the market currently in a cautious mood, a muted listing could cap immediate upside, but a successful longer-term path will depend on execution, client wins, and the ad-tech demand cycle.
Overall, Amagi's IPO marks a notable entry in the Indian tech-enabled media space, highlighting the ongoing interest in cloud-driven broadcasting and connected TV platforms. The listing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, and investors will be looking for signs of how the stock trades in its first session.
