Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando has been hospitalized for mental health treatment after reports he sent unsolicited explicit videos to a fan.
Evan Dando, 58, co-founder of the Lemonheads, has been admitted to a local hospital for mental health treatment after reports he sent unsolicited sexually explicit videos to a fan.
A fan who goes by Dawn on The Underground Bunker recounted the exchange, saying Dando replied to her in October with a flippant remark and later sent a video showing explicit conduct. The Underground Bunker published screenshots of the messages.
Dando, who lives in Brazil with his wife and is stepfather to her three children, has long battled mental health issues and, in his memoir Rumors of My Demise, discussed past drug use including cocaine and heroin.
His representative says he is receiving comprehensive help from experienced doctors and mental health professionals at a local hospital, with no further updates available at this time.
