Applied Nutrition expands range for GLP-1 weight-loss users
British wellness brand broadens its lineup to serve the growing GLP-1 user base, with new products and smaller portions planned for release later this year.
Applied Nutrition is expanding its product range to cater to customers using GLP-1 weight-loss drugs, responding to a surge in demand over the past year. The wellness brand, already known for GLP-1-friendly high-protein ready meals launched in late 2025, said new products designed for this market will roll out later this year. CEO Thomas Ryder, who is Liverpool-based, emphasized that GLP-1 users are a growing customer segment—often at the start of their weight-loss journey and in need of supplements and smaller portions.
This move comes as more Britons turn to weight-loss treatments, with research from University College London showing at least 1.6 million people have used weight loss jabs in the past year. Applied Nutrition has highlighted strong growth by diversifying its sales channels and expanding into UK retail stores, signaling a broader strategy to capture opportunities in the wellness space.
In March, the company reported robust financial results, with pre-tax profits rising 77.1% to £20.9 million for the six months ending 31 January and sales up 56.5% to £74.5 million over the same period. Ryder said the new product line-ups could yield longer-term benefits by catering to this evolving consumer base.
