Telangana reshuffles 30+ IAS officers, reshaping Hyderabad administration
Telangana government rolls out a large-scale IAS reshuffle, shifting over 30 officers across districts, GHMC, and key departments, including Hyderabad's district leadership.
The Telangana government has issued a series of orders affecting large-scale transfers and postings of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state, citing administrative exigencies. In one of the key reshuffles, Sanjay Kumar, a 1995-batch IAS officer serving as Special Chief Secretary in the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development department, has been posted as Special Officer at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi. M Dana Kishore, a 1996-batch officer, has been moved to take over Kumar's role, while continuing to hold additional charge as Special Chief Secretary to the Governor.
Other senior moves include Harichandana Dasari, Hyderabad District Collector, named Secretary in the Labour, Employment, Training and Factories department; Krishna Aditya S to Special Secretary in the Industries and Commerce department. At the district level, several collectors have been reshuffled: Bhavesh Mishra becomes Collector of Nirmal, Priyanka Ala takes over as Hyderabad District Collector, Prateek Jain moves to Sangareddy, and Divakara TS is posted as Collector of Khammam. There are also changes in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), with P Uday Kumar posted to GHMC Golconda and Badhavath Santhosh to Khairatabad, among other postings.
The government has also carried out changes in the GHMC and other districts such as Mulugu, Narayanpet, and Nagarkurnool, as part of the broader reshuffle. Priyanka Ala's move to Hyderabad District Collector marks a notable shift for the city’s administrative leadership.
