Anne Hathaway's Whirlwind Year: 5 Films, Verity Premiere & Surprise Baby Joy!
From blockbuster roles to a shocking pregnancy announcement, Anne Hathaway reveals her favorite moment of a busy year at the Verity premiere! Get the scoop.
It's been a monumental year for Anne Hathaway, capped off by the premiere of her new psychological thriller, Verity . But amidst a packed schedule of five films and countless red carpets, Hathaway shared a personal milestone that overshadowed all her professional achievements: a surprise pregnancy!
My favorite moment of the year was taking a pregnancy test and finding out it was positive,
she revealed on the red carpet. “It was a complete shock!
I found out right before everything kicked off.” Hathaway arrived at New York's AMC Lincoln Square for the Verity premiere in a stunning custom Prabal Gurung gown, reflecting on a year that saw her star in a diverse range of projects. From a pop star in Mother Mary to the queen of Ithaca in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey , and now a reclusive author in Verity , her versatility has been on full display.
Despite the demanding pace, Hathaway credits an “army of people” for her success, expressing gratitude for such a “ridiculously overly-blessed” year. The Verity premiere also brought co-star Josh Hartnett into the spotlight. He plays Hathaway's husband in the film, a character described as charming, sexy, and potentially dangerous.
Hartnett admitted to feeling a bit nervous returning to a romantic leading-man archetype after focusing on different roles for years. “I'm 48 years old. It's a different world,” he quipped. However, the opportunity to work with Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and director Michael Showalter was one he couldn't pass up.
Hartnett reflected on how his perspective on acting has evolved, now enjoying roles without letting them define him. “I just want to play fun characters, entertain, and do something different every time,” he shared.
After the crowd-pleasing screening, the celebrations continued at the Central Park Boathouse, with Hathaway and Hartnett leading the festivities.
While Dakota Johnson opted out of the after-party, the evening was a fitting conclusion to a year filled with career highs and personal joy for Anne Hathaway, who is now looking forward to embracing a new chapter off-screen. #AnneHathaway #VerityPremiere #CelebrityNews
