500,000 Russian Troops Lost: UK Spy Chief Warns of Growing Global Threat

In a revealing first public address, the head of the UK’s intelligence agency GCHQ has shared some staggering figures from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Anne Keast-Butler told an audience at Bletchley Park that nearly 500,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or injured since the full-scale invasion began back in 2022. According to her, these numbers suggest that Vladimir Putin’s forces are actually going backwards on the battlefield for the first time since late 2022.

The intelligence chief didn't just stop at casualty numbers. She issued a stern warning about Russia's tactics beyond the front lines.
