PVV Infra signs Taiwan ITC tech pact for solar and BESS
PVV Infra signs a tech pact with Taiwan's ITC Services for solar cell manufacturing, BESS, micro-inverters, and smart power electronics, targeting a ₹1,250 crore clean-energy complex.
PVV Infra Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ITC Services Company Limited, Taiwan, to pursue consultancy, customization, and technology transfer for solar cell manufacturing, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), micro-inverters and smart power electronics, along with related renewable-energy products and integration solutions. The MoU covers joint development, trial production, training, process stabilization, and transfer of manufacturing documentation, with a phased deployment plan expected to be completed in 14–18 months, boosting PVV Infra’s shift into advanced renewable-energy manufacturing.
The plan envisions an Integrated Clean Energy Manufacturing Complex comprising 1.2 GW solar cell manufacturing using TOPCon technology, 1 GW of solar module assembly, BESS and micro-inverter facilities, and a dedicated plant for smart power electronics. The project value has been raised to about ₹1,250 crore, subject to phased implementation, financing closure, and execution milestones, and some mega-project subsidies may be available from the Andhra Pradesh government. The company noted that this expansion follows an earlier MoU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 15 November 2025 for renewable-energy manufacturing infrastructure, valued at around ₹650 crore.
With the broader scope now including integrated manufacturing across solar cells, modules, storage systems, and smart power electronics, PVV Infra aims to accelerate its growth in India's clean-energy manufacturing ecosystem.
By linking international tech transfer with local manufacturing initiatives, the partnership could help strengthen the supply chain for solar and energy-storage products while creating new jobs and investment in the region.
