PM Modi Begins Three-Nation Tour: Jordan, Ethiopia, Oman
Prime Minister Modi embarks on a three-nation visit to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman to deepen ties and engage diasporas.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday embarked on a three-nation tour to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman—countries with long-standing bilateral ties and civilizational links. On the first leg in Jordan, he travels at the invitation of King Abdullah II and will also meet Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah. Modi said the visit will mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Jordan.
In Ethiopia, Modi will address the Joint Session of Parliament and share India's journey as the 'Mother of Democracy' while highlighting the potential of the India-Ethiopia partnership for the Global South. He is set to hold discussions with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and meet the Indian diaspora there.
On the final leg in Oman, the Prime Minister will discuss strengthening the strategic partnership and a robust commercial relationship with the Sultan of Oman, and he will address a gathering of the Indian diaspora in Muscat, underscoring the enduring ties that have connected the two countries for 70 years.
