Radiohead Announces Epic 2027 Tour in Australia & Japan!

Iconic British band Radiohead has officially announced their highly anticipated return to Australia and Japan with a massive 21-date tour scheduled for 2027. Fans down under and in the Land of the Rising Sun have eagerly awaited this news, as it marks their first visit to Australia since 2012 and their first headline shows in Japan since 2008.

The Australian leg of the tour kicks off on May 3rd, 2027, with four nights at RAC Arena in Perth. The band will then head to Melbourne for six shows at the Rod Laver Arena, followed by another six performances at Afterpay Arena in Sydney. Following their Australian dates, Radiohead will make their way to Japan for five exclusive gigs at GMO in Arena Saitama in June.

Securing tickets for these shows requires a bit of planning. Fans must register through Radiohead's official ticket registration page between September 7th and 10th for a chance to receive an unlock code.

The general Australian ticket sales are then set for September 15th.

Australian ticket prices will range from $139 to $349 AUD for seated options, while standing tickets will be available for $199 AUD. Japanese tickets will be handled separately via eplus, with applications opening on September 7th. Standing tickets in Japan are priced at ¥26,000, and seated tickets range from ¥15,000 to ¥30,000.

All prices are fixed, and those who miss out on the initial sale will be placed on waitlists for any additional releases.

In classic Radiohead fashion, the band has also announced "Fast Track Status" tickets with a playful disclaimer. They humorously state that this status

does not include fast track status, or in fact any kind of status at all,

cheekily asking what fans were expecting.

Instead, these special tickets promise "one of the most ergonomic and luxuriously appointed seats that the venue has to offer" and a "complimentary receptacle of Very Exclusive Items" designed by Stanley Donwood & Doktor Tchock, created with their "customary attention to irrelevance." The band wryly concludes, "We hope that you choke enjoy the show," adding a touch of their signature dark humor.

This extensive tour follows Radiohead's return to the stage in late 2025 for a UK and Europe tour, their first performances in seven years. Guitarist Ed O’Brien had previously hinted at the band's plan to tour annually in different continents, starting in 2027, making this announcement a confirmation of their new touring strategy.
