Bengaluru ATM Heist Crackdown: ₹5.76 Crore Recovered, Insiders Arrested
Police crack a daylight Bengaluru ATM cash van robbery, arrest insiders and recover ₹5.76 crore as investigators trace calls and a getaway vehicle.
Three people were arrested in connection with the daylight ATM cash van robbery in Bengaluru, with ₹7.11 crore hijacked and ₹5.76 crore recovered so far. Among those detained are a police constable from Govindarajanagar station, a former CMS Info System Limited employee, and the in-charge of the cash refill vehicle. Investigators have pointed to an insider link as a major clue in the case, aided by the analysis of mobile tower data that showed repeated contact between the constable and the former CMS employee in the days surrounding the heist. The getaway vehicle used in the operation was found abandoned near Tirupati in the Chittoor district, tying several leads together for the case.
