Good Glamm Group Unravels: Lenders to Sell Brands Separately as Revival Fails
Good Glamm Group's CEO Darpan Sanghvi announces the company's shift from a unified model to selling individual brands following failed refinancing efforts. Learn more about this significant change.
Darpan Sanghvi, the managing director and CEO of Good Glamm Group, has confirmed that the company will no longer function as a single consumer goods entity. Instead, lenders will now enforce their charge over individual brands in the portfolio. Sanghvi stated in a LinkedIn post that after unsuccessful attempts at refinancing, partial brand sales, or raising strategic capital, the group structure will be dismantled and assets sold separately.

“There will no longer be a group-wide solution… the brands will be sold one by one, and will operate individually,” he wrote.
The group's goal of creating a digital-first consumer goods conglomerate through acquisitions came to an end with this move, which comes after months of financial strain and fruitless restructuring negotiations. Brands like MyGlamm, Organic Harvest, Sirona, St. Botanica, The Moms Co., and BabyChakra are among those in its portfolio.

Sanghvi, who hasn't left the company or sold any shares, stated that if unpaid employee debts aren't resolved through asset sales, he will personally set aside 25% of all future earnings, whether from salaries or equity gains. In the upcoming months, a system for monitoring this commitment should be established, he stated.

To compensate for potential losses incurred by suppliers and investors, he announced that he intends to establish a "Good Glamm Restitution Fund" within 60 days, supported by equity from upcoming projects.
Sanghvi took ownership of the choices that led to the group's current situation and acknowledged that the outcome was within the lenders' rights. Prominent firms like Amazon, Accel, Prosus, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Warburg Pincus are among the company's investors.
