Telangana Kicks Off Major Voter Roll Revision: Check Your Status Now!

Telangana has commenced its Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, a crucial exercise designed to update and refine the state's voter list. The drive, which began on Thursday, June 25, 2026, involves Booth Level Officers (BLOs) visiting homes across the state to distribute Enumeration Forms.
These BLOs will continue their door-to-door visits until July 24, 2026. Following this initial phase, the draft electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on July 31, 2026. Citizens will then have a month, from July 31 to August 30, 2026, to file any claims or objections regarding the draft list. The final and updated electoral roll will be officially published on October 1, 2026.
To facilitate this process, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Telangana website (https://ceotelangana.nic.in/) is a vital resource. Voters can use this platform to search for their name in the voter list using their EPIC number. Additionally, the website provides details of their respective Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), Assistant ERO (AERO), and BLO, enhancing accessibility and accountability. The electoral roll from SIR-2002 is also accessible online.
District Election Officers (DEOs) are actively overseeing the distribution process. In Wanaparthy, Collector Adarsh Surabhi inspected the distribution of forms and instructed officials to complete it by July 1, while ensuring electors understand how to fill them out. Similarly, Gadwal District Collector Rizwanbasha Shaik emphasized that Booth Level Agents (BLAs) accompanying BLOs must wear identity cards during house visits.
In Hyderabad, District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan also inspected the distribution in the Jubilee Hills constituency. An important note for residents: if a house is locked during a BLO visit, the Enumeration Form will be left at the doorstep. The collection of these duly filled forms is set to begin approximately one week after their initial distribution. It has been clarified that no documents will be collected during this form distribution phase of the exercise, simplifying the initial interaction for residents.
