Victoria Jones, 34, daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead in a San Francisco hotel room on New Year’s Day as investigators probe the cause.
Victoria Jones, 34, daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife Kimberlea Cloughley, was found dead in a San Francisco hotel room on New Year’s Day. The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed it responded to a medical emergency at the Fairmont around 3 a.m. local time, and authorities say the case is under investigation.
Victoria had a handful of acting credits, including roles in Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, the latter directed by her father. She also appeared in an episode of One Tree Hill.
Victoria was born to Tommy and Kimberlea Cloughley. Tommy has been married three times, with Kimberlea as his second wife. In an old New Yorker interview, Tommy recalled working with his daughter and praised her talent, noting she had her SAG card and spoke impeccable Spanish. He recounted an anecdote about waking her for a shoot after she initially hesitated, a memory he shared with humor.
Authorities have not released a cause of death, and investigators are proceeding with questions about the circumstances surrounding the hotel room incident. A formal autopsy may be planned as part of the ongoing inquiry.
