BA cancels Middle East flights as Iran conflict upends Easter travel

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has prompted British Airways to cancel all flights in the region, impacting routes to Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Tel Aviv. The airline said these services will be suspended until later this month, with Abu Dhabi flights also scrapped until October 2026. In addition, BA will not be selling new tickets on these routes from March 29 to April 15, and the carrier stressed the schedule would be kept under continuous review.

BA is also pausing repatriation flights from Muscat to London due to reduced demand, with the final repatriation flights from Oman offering limited seats on the last trips out on Wednesday and Thursday. The last repatriation flight is scheduled to depart Muscat on 12 March as the airline reassesses operations amid heightened regional tensions.

The disruption comes amid a broader military campaign in the region that has drawn in the United States and raised concerns about airspace stability during the Easter travel period. While schedules are in flux, BA emphasized it would monitor the situation closely and inform affected customers of refunds or rebooking options as responses are coordinated.
