Daughter's Elena Tonra Drops New Ex:Re Album & Single "Radio Station"! 🎶

Great news for fans of Daughter and Elena Tonra's solo work! After a six-year hiatus from her Ex:Re moniker, Elena Tonra is officially back with a brand new album titled "Save As," set to drop next month. This highly anticipated follow-up to her 2018 self-titled debut is already generating buzz, especially with the release of its lead single, "Radio Station."

Tonra, known for fronting the London indie-folk trio Daughter since 2010, initially hadn't planned a second Ex:Re record. However, working with song fragments a few years ago blossomed into a full-fledged album. "Save As" promises to be an evocative journey through her personal landscape, reflecting on feelings of flux and indecision.

The album was recorded alongside her trusted Ex:Re producer Fabian Prynn. It features a talented lineup of musicians, including Josephine Stephenson on cello, Hinako Omori on synth, Ben Reed on bass, and Jethro Fox on electric guitar, promising rich and layered soundscapes.

The first taste of the album, "Radio Station," is described as a "strummy, evocative number." Tonra explains the inspiration behind it, noting that

The changing radio station is something I experience a lot — the push and pull of different feelings, and I end up getting stuck because I can’t make decisions.

The accompanying music video for "Radio Station" was beautifully shot in Paris by director Angela Ricciardi.

"Save As" will be released on October 30th via 4AD. Fans can look forward to a full tracklist that includes intriguing titles like "Sleep," "Am I Even Real?," and the titular "Save As."
