Man pleads not guilty to threats against Mountbatten-Windsor near Sandringham
A Norfolk man denies threatening Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor as a July trial at Westminster approaches, with a prior blood-test matter also resolved in court.
A 39-year-old man, Alex Jenkinson, of no fixed address, is charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to harass someone or cause alarm or distress. He allegedly threatened Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor during an incident near the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk and also threatened another man, Stephen Terry, the day before. He denies both charges. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court via video link from King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre in Norfolk, with his right arm in a sling, and pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood in custody. He was released on conditional bail and ordered not to enter the county of Norfolk, not to contact Mountbatten-Windsor, and not to approach or be within 500m of the Sandringham Estate, Buckingham Palace, Balmoral Castle, Windsor Castle and Highgrove.
