Chappell Roan, a singer who was represented by Wasserman's agency, announced on Instagram that she is leaving the agency amid the Epstein fallout. Wasserman, who chairs the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, has faced calls to step down over the fallout. He has said the name appearing in the files does not reflect a personal or business relationship with Epstein, and that the relevant emails with Ghislaine Maxwell were sent in 2003, long before Epstein's crimes came to light.
In response, Wasserman has emphasized that his conduct was not unethical by current standards and highlighted that he never had a personal or business relationship with Epstein. He notes a humanitarian trip in 2002 on an Epstein plane, and said he deeply regrets the Maxwell messages.
