Amit Shah: BJP vows to eject infiltrators, Bengal security hinges on NDA govt

Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Siliguri and Barrackpore, stressing that the infiltration problem from West Bengal is a matter of national security and promising that a BJP government in Bengal would eject infiltrators one by one. He pointed out that even after the NDA governs 21 states and union territories, the real satisfaction will come only when West Bengal joins the list of BJP-led states. Shah recalled that 60 BJP workers were killed by TMC goons, framing the violence as a human cost of the current political climate and arguing that the incident underscores the urgency of a change in Bengal.

Shah launched a broadside against the Trinamool Congress, accusing it of institutionalising corruption and opposing a discussion on Vande Mataram in Parliament to appease infiltrators who he said form the party’s vote bank. He insisted that corruption and infiltration are intertwined with national security, and blamed the Mamata Banerjee government for not providing land for fencing along the West Bengal-Bangladesh border.

At his rallies in Siliguri and Barrackpore, he forecast a sweeping victory for the BJP in the north of the state, claiming the party would win all Assembly seats in that region. He argued that the corruption charges against the TMC render it the most corrupt government in the country and urged voters to back a BJP-NDA government that would address border security and infiltration head-on. With Bengal Assembly polls likely in the coming months, Shah framed the election as a choice between security-first governance and the status quo.

The overall message was clear: security and integrity in Bengal are inseparable from national safety, and a BJP-led government in the state is essential to confront infiltrators and restore governance.
